Joan Sturges
|
|
Joan has spent the last 30 years providing accounting services to Lake County. She has become well know for her ability to deal with complex tax problems. Over the years her practice has continued to grow, becoming the leading provider of independent audits in Lake County.
Joan graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration. Several years ago Joan completed the requirements to become a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Private Investigator. Joan is increasingly focusing on forensic accounting. She has given expert testimony in several court cases involving fraud and larceny. |

Zach Pehling graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelors of Science in Molecular Biology. He also earned his Masters of Business Administration in Financial Management.
Zach began his career as a financial annalist, researching and writing for an investment journal.
Zach will soon be licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California. He has passed his CPA exams, and is currently waiting to receive his certification from the Board. |

Carlie Pehling graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Carlie originally joined the firm as an office manager, but became licensed as a Certified Tax Preparer to meet the growing needs of the firm. |

Sturges, Pehling & Associates was founded over thirty years ago by Joan Sturges. As the firm continued to expand, Joan brought on associates to meet the growing needs of her clients. The practice now includes an additional CPA (pending) and MBA; a full time bookkeeper and Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor; and a Certified Tax Preparer.
